West Fest National Day of the Cowboy Topeka KS

Calling all cowboys at heart! National Day of the Cowboy is fun for children 10 years old and younger.

Museum Admission:  $10 adults, $9 special, $5 children (2 – 17)

*Special – Seniors 65+, active military, college students with ID

Activities with purchase of museum admission or free to Kansas Historical Foundation members!

  • Explore new museum exhibits
  • Climb inside the full-sized covered wagon.  Great photo op!
  • Gallop through the gallery on stick ponies
  • Play cowboy bingo
  • Enjoy one stagecoach ride

Many free activities!

  • Pet miniature horses and a mustang
  • Join in campfire sing-a-long
  • Practice roping
  • Pan for gold
  • Make a bedazzled horseshoe
  • Learn to track animals
  • Play fun historic games
  • Get your face painted
  • Watch an exciting vintage baseball game

Mahaffie Stage Stop and Farm stage coach rides also available for $3 per ride.

11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Free hot dogs and chips while supplies last.

Kettle corn and old-fashioned ice cream for sale all day.

Support for West Fest is provided by Dillon’s, at 29th and Urish, Topeka; and Vanderbilt’s, at 29th and Wanamaker, Topeka.
