Norco CA National Day of the Cowboy

The City of Norco is hosting a fun-filled, family day event which helps preserve America’s cowboy and Western heritage! Celebrate the 8th Annual National Day of the Cowboy  Saturday, July 28, 2012 at the George Ingalls Equestrian Event Center to honor the heritage of the west and the cowboy values that helped to build our country.
Gates open to the public at 11 a.m. Opening Ceremonies will be at High Noon!
Admission to the event is $5 per person, 10 and under free. Parking is $2 per vehicle.

The day’s festivities begin with a grand entry celebration with flags from all 50 states presented by riders on horseback. Following the ceremony, activities will include a stagecoach and wagon presentation, equestrian drill teams, a versatility exhibit, boot scrambles for kids, cow chip tossing, roping demonstrations, and more! Participation events are ranch sorting and cowboy obstacle course, each have an additional $4.98 per person per run entrance fee. Contestant Arrival/Signups: 9am; Start:10 a.m.Team Ribbon and Sled Races will take place for additional afternoon competitions! Entries are limited…so sign up early! Of course, food and refreshments will be available for purchase all day!

Events will culminate with the Pacific Coast Junior Bull Riders Rodeo! You don’t want to miss the Mutton Bustin and Bull Ridin this day! Come on out and root for your favorite ‘lil cowboy or cowgirl!
