We will be hosting the annual National Day of the Cowboy celebration and adding some special events to support Last Chance
Corral (http://www.lastchancecorral.org/about-lcc/lcc-background), a horse rescue that re-homes unwanted horses, nurse mare foals, and
thoroughbred adoption program. We will be having a silent auction with all the proceeds going to Last Chance Corral. During the day we
will have a cooking competition. Cook at home or on the farm and bring it to be judged by a local professional chef, David Miller.
Prizes will be awarded. A portion of the entry fee will go to Last Chance Corral.

We will host demonstrations during the day with Winding Creek’s barn manager, Eddie Landry who will talk to us about the
importance of a desensitized horse and moving through an obstacle course. At 3:30 Jessica Cornwell, The All American Quarterhorse
Freestyle reining champion will be showing us what is takes to be a champion reiner. At 5pm we will feast on the food cooked at the cook
off. After dinner we will dance the night away with a professional dance instructor, and to close the night come and relax around the
campfire with us.

Dressing like a cowboy is not expected, come as you are but wear your boots and hats if you’ve got ’em!
Bring your family, friends, and neighbors. This is always a fun event and a great way to get in touch with local horsemen if you’re
interested in getting started or just staying in touch.
