Annual Cody Family Reunion

Greetings Cody Family and Friends,

As you know, The International Cody Family Association is holding it’s 2017 Reunion in Golden, CO from July 27-30, in celebration of William F. (Buffalo Bill) Cody’s 100^th year passing anniversary. We hope you are planning to join in the ICFA’s activities as well as Golden Buffalo Bill Days. It will be a fabulous, fun opportunity to meet up with old and new cousins along with old and new friends. We can’t wait to meet and greet you. Thursday, July 27

1. 2:30 PM – Table Mountain Inn, Santa Fe Suite – Help set up food beverages, registration table, etc. for Reception/Registration starting at 3:OO PM.
2. 2:30 – 5:30 PM – Table Mountain Inn lobby. Meet, greet and direct people at Table Mountain Inn for Reception/Registration at Santa Fe Suite.
3. Need help in Santa Fe Suite to Register guests, checking them off and giving them information, badges and itineraries. Taking checks or PayPal for late-comers. Help guests find buffet table with food and beverages. Help clean up Santa Fe Suite.
4. Guide people to Buckhorn Restaurant or other local restaurants.

Friday, July 28

1. 9:30 AM At Railroad Museum – Help Cody Family and Friends organize for Tour.
2. 2:00 Table Mountain Inn Lobby – Help guests organize for drive to Buffalo Bill Museum and Gravesite. Departure 2:30 PM
3. 3:00 PM Help organize guests for wreath laying ceremonies at gravesite.
4. 4:30 Help organize guests for BB Museum Tour
5. 5:30 Help organize guests for dinner at the Museum.

Saturday, July 29

1. 8:00 AM Parade line-up. 9th and Washington, Golden- Help guests find their place in Parade. You will receive a print-out of Parade and parade route.
2. 4:45 PM – Table Mountain Inn lobby. Meet, Greet and Guide guests to Santa Fe Suite for late Registration.
3. 5:15 PM – Table Mountain Inn lobby, Meet, greet and guide guests to Ballroom to see posters, and find seating for dinner at appx. 6:00 PM

Sunday, July 30

1. 8:00 AM – Parfet Park – Help guests find the Ecumenical Church Service.
2. 9:30 AM – Church Grounds Parfet Park, Help guests find seating for ICFA Business Mtg. at 10 – 11AM.

Hope all this does not sound too overwhelming, but just sign up for whatever appeals to you.

We love our volunteers who always have more fun than any of us!! It is a great time to bond with your Cody family and friends.

If you have any interest in becoming a part of the ICFA Board of Directors or wish to volunteer a particular service, please contact Suzanna Cody as soon as possible at, iamone@earthlink.net or ring 408.718.9116, as our by-laws request that we have possible new Board Members’ information ready to submit for a vote at the Business Meeting on Sunday morning, July 30 in Golden. We will guide you through the process that is not very formal. Let us know your special interests and heart calls. We need to have this information 60 days prior to July 30 for review. Please also note, it is not necessary to be a Cody family member to apply for any post, but President. Our by-laws require that the President be a member of the Cody Family. Board members are responsible for attending, by phone, a monthly conference call meeting and usually submitting a short email “report of your activities” prior to meeting.

We particularly need volunteers to create our next reunion, possibly in LeClaire, Iowa, Buffalo Bill’s birthplace right on the Mississippi River! This can happen in conjunction with the Buffalo Bill Museum, LeClair, IA, and Bob Schiffke, director of the museum. Other suggested Reunion locations are welcomed.
