Celebrates The Western!

Calling all Cowboys and Cowgirls! Dust off those boots, don your fanciest duds and come on out in celebration of an American Institution; THE WESTERN…as the Reel Cowboys play host to the 17th annual SILVER SPUR AWARDS.

The Reel Cowboys, a nonprofit organization consisting of men and women who have spent their lives and careers both in front of and behind the camera, invite you to join them in celebrating the lives and careers of the men and women whose contributions in the industry made those films that shaped our lives.

This year’s event takes place Friday September 19, 2014 at the iconic Sportsmen’s Lodge 12825 Ventura Blvd. Studio City, CA.

Held as a fundraiser to support the John Tracy Clinic, the event will include celebrity guests, and celebrate the lives of this year’s Honorees:

William Wellman ~ Oscar winning screenwriter – director of such films as The Ox-Bow Incident, Buffalo Bill, Darby’s Rangers
Ruta Lee ~ Actress Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, The Wild Wild West, The Virginian, Gunsmoke, and more…

John Payne ~ Actor The Restless Gun, Gunsmoke, Cades County
Bob Minor ~ Stuntman Die Hard, Buffalo Soldiers, Posse, In the Heat of the Night
Stefanie Powers ~ Actress McClintock, Feather and Father Gang, Gone with the West, Bat Masterson, Bonanza

Wm. Wellman, Jr, Roger E. Mosley, The ‘DUKE’S’ son himself, Patrick Wayne, Impressionist Rich Little, Dan Haggerty, Tommy Ivo, Harry Flynn and others will act as presenters to these richly deserving honorees; and film stars such as Debbie Reynolds, Bo Svenson, Lou Gossett, Jr.,Trini Lopez, and more are invited guests of the event.

In addition to the gourmet dinner, entertainment, fashion show and silent auction offered at the event, there will also be a special tribute to Clayton Moore, TV’s Lone Ranger in celebration of his 100th Centennial, National Veteran’s Memorial Medal presentation to the family of the late Ernest Borgnine, and the organizations Founder’s Award will be presented to Legendary Stuntman, Singer/ Songwriter and Actor, Taylor Curtis ‘Cactus Mack’ McPeters.

Tickets are $125 for General Admission and $175 for VIP seating, and there are a limited amount available at this price, so make your reservations NOW! Tickets will be $195. the night of the event
