Celebrate cowboy history and culture with the Flint Hills Discovery Center’s National Day of the Cowboy event on July 26, 2014 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Activities include cowboy poetry, buckboard rides, stick pony barrel racing, roping, bull riding, reenactors, music by the Oldtimers Band, food and more. Regular Flint Hills Discovery Center admission fees apply: Adults $9, Military, Seniors, Educators, College Students $7, Youth ages 2-17 $4.
