For 2015 LaGrange County Parks is combining their National Cowboy Day event with its pioneer event in August at David Rogers Memorial Park, Wolcottville, Indiana.

David Rogers Country Fair is August 22, 2015. The log house village of David Rogers Memorial Park is the setting for pioneers, settlers, and cowboys. There will be music, food, historic demonstrations, period entertainments, and the pie eating contest. There are special youth activities for young people to earn a visit to the Kids’ Trading Post. In addition to lives of the pioneers, we are also celebrating National Day of the Cowboy. Cowboy fun and games are added to this year’s festival, such as horseshoe pitching, roping, and the ever popular Cap Gun Fast Draw. Winner of Fast Draw is awarded the Golden Gun.
