Topeka Kansas National Day of the Cowboy West Fest
July 26, 2014 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
In its second year – West Fest: National Day of the Cowboy – is sure to be a hit with your little cowboys and gals at the Kansas Museum of History on Saturday, July 26, 2014 from 10a – 4p (rain or shine)!
Head out early for a special cowboy lunch of free hot dogs and chips (provided by the Dillon’s located at 29th and Wanamaker and Frito-Lay, while supplies last) from 11a -1p.
The indoor and outdoor activities are abundant, ranging from ponies to rope making. XYZ fave, Kyler, will host a cowboy sing-a-long at 1p.
The museum store is holding a one-day (and one day only!) book sale the day of the event that will feature special Kansas-made gifts and food for purchase!
We haven’t even scratched the surface on the fun, so pay a visit to the event site for all information or call 785-272-8681, ext. 415. Kansas has recently become the 8th state to pass the National Day of the Cowboy permanently into law, so come help us celebrate KS making history.
