Lake Luzerne New York National Day of the Cowboy

In addition to the attached program of appreciating and showcasing the 90 year Dude Ranch History in Warren County NY, there will also be

  1. Cowboy Coffee: July 17, 2014      9-10 am      Fourth Lake Diner:  Bring Your Photos and Stories.  Coffee is on us.
  2. Horses for Hire Business to be Honored: Then and Now  Bennett’s Riding Stables, Saddle Up Stables 9 (aka Sunnybrook Acres), Boggia’s Circle B, Roaring Brook and more.
  3. Programs celebrating the Lake Luzerne History Day on Saturday, July 26, 2014 from 9-4. Included will be Storytelling, Displays, Demonstrations, Re-enactors, Adirondack Folk School exhibits and Museum Tours along Main Street and at the Harmon House Park. BBQ & Rodeo on the 25th, NDOC Program on the 26th and Display, Speakers and Dinner on the 27th…………………..
  4. “Pieces of the Past” Saturday, July 26  11am-Noon  Gailey School House  with Cowboy Reunion with Stories
    • NYS Governor’s Official Proclamation recognizing the National Day of the Cowboy: July 26
    • NYS Legislation Resolution (Resolution J575-2013)  sponsored by Senator Betty Little and Assemblyman Dan Stec honoring July 26 as the National Day of the Cowboy.  (www.nationaldayofthecowboy.com)
  5. Also proud to announce that the home of Earl Woodward, Lake Vanare has been designated as a NYS State and the  National Park Service of Historic Sites.  Jennifer Betsworth, NYS Historic Preservation Specialist will be joining us on Sunday.
