Dubois Idaho’s National Day of the Cowboy Celebration

July 26, 2014 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Clark County has chosen to honor and celebrate this day  to commemorate and preserve it’s western history and way of life for a county rich in ranching and agriculture.  Each year we honor a  citizen of our community who has played an integral part in maintaining the history and culture of our western heritage. Some of the past honorees have been Lee Small of Medicine Lodge and Bill Thomas of Dubois and Jim Hagenbarth of Dillon Montana.

Clark County’s Honoree for 2014 is Pete McGarry of Hamer, Idaho.  The cowboy life runs deep in Pete McGarry.  His family has ranched in the Kilgore area since the late 1800’s.   Pete has honored and preserved the western way of life
in every aspect of his life. We are honored to have Pete a part of the community and for his contributions to our western heritage and cowboy way of life.  He is a great example of the American Cowboy.
